The team of Shanwayne Stephens (pilot) and Nimory Turgott (brakeman) completed their second run in a time of 1:01:35 minutes, ranking them 28th place in the second heat but not enough to make a move up the overall standings.
The German team of Francesco Friedrich and Thorsten Margis remain in the lead with a combined time of 1:58:38 minutes.
Their countrymen Johannes Lochner and Florian Bauer are in second place with 1:58.53 minutes and Rostislav Gaitiukevich and Aleksei Laptev of the Russian Olympic Committee are in third place with 1:59.32 minutes.
The third heat of the event will begin tomorrow at 7:15 a.m. Jamaica time.
