Belize welcomed the luxury MS Rotterdam, a new cruise ship under the Holland America Line which was called to port on February 10th, 2022. A maiden call ceremony was held on board at 10:30 a.m. with the Belize Tourism Board, the ship’s local port agent APEX Shipping Agency Limited, Belize Port Authority, and the Fort Street Tourism Village. Named Rotterdam, Holland America Line’s newest cruise ship makes a dazzling debut in the Caribbean in November 2021.
Rotterdam is said to focus heavily on music to hit all the right notes: exquisite dining, innovative entertainment, superbly appointed staterooms and suites, the finest service, and craftsmanship that reflects nearly 150 years of expertise.
Arriving with 1,528 persons on board, the Belize Tourism Board and its partners warmly welcomed the new Holland America Line (HAL) Rotterdam cruise ship is to the destination, a beautiful addition to the HAL Cruises’ fleet.
With world-class dining and the best live music at sea, this new cruise ship can hold a maximum capacity of 2,668 guests, and measures 984 feet in length and 114.8 feet in width. Guests can choose between a stateroom or suite type in room categories and a variety of Caribbean itineraries.
