The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) is advising that clinical services at Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) and Victoria Jubilee Hospital (VJH) have not been adversely impacted by the ongoing overflow of sewage on the compound.

It says the matter is currently being addressed and there are ongoing discussions with the National Water Commission (NWC) for an urgent resolution.

“Our operations team at KPH & VJH continues to work with NWC, which has assured the team that the matter will be resolved with urgency,” stated acting chief executive officer, KPH & VJH, Dr Natalie Whylie.

She further explained that the sewage issue extends beyond the hospital compound and includes communities in downtown Kingston.
