Edwin Allen High school’s throwers, Christopher Young and Trevor Gunzell, continued showing impressive form this season with another one-two finish in the class one shot put on the second day of competition at the Central Athletics Championships at the GC Foster College.

Young, who lost to his teammate on the opening day in the boys’ discus turned the tables this time around with a record-breaking heave of 18.77 metres to win today’s shot put.

Gunzell, who finished second with 18.71, also through further than the old mark of 18.34 set by former Edwin Allen thrower, Demar Gayle in 2015.

St Jago High School’s Brandon Gayle finished third with 17.85.
